Home Away From Home!
I recently stayed at this wonderful B&B and what a pleasure it was. Forest Hill B&B truly feels like home. It’s owned by a friendly couple that showed fantastic hospitality and they were only happy to meet any needs from their guests.
The pool is a good size and has an incredible view of Khao Yai National Park. I enjoyed many days (and nights) admiring the view from the pool. Especially the times when the mountains were covered by clouds.
There are only two cabanas, which makes it feel more intimate yet free. I stayed in the TIGER CABANA which sleeps two people. It was extremely clean, well-furnished and spacious. They have coffee and tea facilities in the room, mini-bar fridge and a four-seater dining table and chairs. The bathroom is spacious and comes with amenities like hand soup, shower gel and shampoo. There were also plenty of towels.
I was able to view the second cabana (ELEPHANT CABANA) upon check out and I must say that I felt some regret for not choosing that room type. It’s slightly larger and comes with a comfortable lounge area as you enter. I think this type is great for longer stays as it’s equipped with a kitchenette and larger refrigerator.
You have a set breakfast which includes bacon, eggs, and sausages. To drink you can pick anything from coffee, tea, and juice. Each morning the fruits served were changed a bit which added some variety, and they had great homemade bread. Honestly, I couldn’t fault their breakfast. It was more than enough to get you started.before your day of exploring the local temples around or just relaxing poolside
The highlight for me has to be the use of the BBQ. If you live in a condominium then you would realize how much this can mean. I was able to use the BBQ facilities and outdoor kitchen facilities. The hosts had some coals and fire starters at our disposal.
The accommodation is less than 2 kilometers away from the south part of Khao Yai National Park, so it’s easily accessible for a day or half-day trip. Unless you have your own transportation, I would suggest renting a scooter or bicycle if you would like to do some sightseeing because I couldn’t see any local transportation around.
If you are in need of a quiet weekend away, Forest Hill B&B is highly recommended!
